Weston Priory: Wherever You Go
I want to say something to all of you
who have become a part of the fabric of my life.
The color and texture which you have brought into my being
have become a song,
and I want to sing it forever.
There is an energy in us
which makes things happen
when the paths of other persons touch ours.
And we have to be there,
and let it happen.
When the time of our particular sunset comes,
our things, our accomplishments won’t really matter a great deal.
But the clarity and care with which we have loved others
will speak with vitality
of the great gift of life we have been
for each other.

わたしの人生の綾を織りなす
糸となってくださったすべての人に伝えたい。
あなたがわたしの存在に織り込んでくださった
彩りと彩は歌になりました。
わたしはその歌を永遠に歌いたい。
互いの人生と人生とが触れ合う時
わたしたちの中にある力が働いて
そこに何かが起こるのです。
その時 わたしたちはそこにいて
成り行きに任せなくてはなりません。
人生に夕闇が下りる時
何をしたか 何をなしとげたかは
たいしたことではありません。
でも 人を愛してきた澄んだ心は
力強く語ることでしょう
わたしたちが互いに
人生の大いなる宝ものであったことを。
